Embracing Inner Beauty

Embracing Inner Beauty

We're so focused on how we're perceived by others. In a way, it is good because we're forced to take better care of ourselves. But it has its dark moments too because there is a constant pressure to look perfect. The rise of social media hasn't made things any easier and often our mental health suffers greatly. This obsessive focus on appearances leads toinsecurities and negative thoughts and that's horrible. Today, young adults are so focused and so consumed by their appearance that they forget what matters most - inner beauty, confidence and to be happy .

When we're in our teens, we all deal with the horrors of acne. Some sail through this phase with ease and some don't. For a lot of people, acne and skin problems and hair troubles are hard to tackle and when you live in a world obsessed with physicality, its daunting and intimidating to be seen even with a mere tiny blotch! Hours and hours are spent trying to conceal away blemishes and scars with makeup. This is wrong. In all this madness, we forget to love ourselves and accept our flaws. Most of the time we spend anguishing over why our genes weren't as good as a model's and why we must struggle with acne and large pores and flaky skin. It’s because we are all different! We are all unique and powerful and beautiful in our own way. Do you know when someone looks their best? When they're happy. When they're smiling. When their eyes light up their faces. When the heart is kind and the intentions are right. That is beauty. That is grace.

It doesn't matter how polished or sophisticated or dressed up you are if you don't care for the wellbeing of others. The clarity and purity of your heart matter more than that of your skin.

It is as Roald Dahl said - "A person who has good thoughts cannot ever be ugly. You can have a wonky nose and a crooked mouth and a double chin and stick-out teeth, but if you have good thoughts it will shine out of your face like sunbeams and you will always look lovely."

We, at Myra Veda, know far too well how important it is and how hard it is to love yourself unconditionally. But that is what you must do, no matter what. Myra means admiration. We believe in the power of self-love and understand the greatness of self-care. Be gentle with yourself. Be gentle with your skin. Our range of organic, natural and toxin-free products are made for women that embrace their inner beauty and flaws. Keep your head high and shoulders squared and tackle each day with confidence, positivity and love!
